Put this on a piece of dry cake you need to moisten and embellish, on toast for breakfast or a snack, or on vanilla ice cream.

2 T butter
3 T sugar
2 apples, cored and cut into wedges

1. In a small skillet, heat the butter to sizzling.
2. Add the sugar. Stir over medium-high until syrup begins to turn golden.
3. Add the apples, toss with the syrup.
